Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will work as part of a marketing team responsible for supporting national operations across (4) brands. Duties will involve supporting marketing efforts such as developing website content in coordination with technical staff, leading general branding refinement activities, supporting strategic sales initiatives, increasing brand awareness on social media, and involvement with a wide range of creative design projects.

Responsibilities:

• Unique position supporting a wide range of marketing activities for multiple brands associated with Weaver Companies (www.theweavercompanies.com).
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, such as statements of qualifications and proposals. May require formatting in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Provide technical teams with design support on select sales initiatives such as client pitches and conference presentations.
• Support collection, maintenance, and updating of marketing brochures.
• Maintain marketing files in an organized fashion including photography files, resumes, project descriptions, and client contact lists.
• Partner with technical teams to develop content explaining the company’s various engineering, construction, and environmental service offerings.
• Involvement with tradeshows, industry events, professional associations, and client/employee entertainment.
• Light website content updating through existing WordPress sites.
• Work on further developing the social media presence across all brands.
• Representation of the Marketing department at various cross-functional department meetings as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Proficiency in digital design with Adobe Design Programs (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
• Familiarity with maintaining a website on WordPress or other content management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable as project priorities evolve.
• Understanding of Google Analytics, Google Ads, and digital marketing best practices.
• Professional, ethical, and committed to excellence in communications.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers, departments, and technical groups.
• Prior involvement in supporting sales, contracts, communications, and/or business development teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required.
• 1 to 3 years’ marketing experience. Experience working with B2B companies in the Construction, Engineering, or Industrial sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe design programs required.
• Comfortable working with multiple project stakeholders (i.e. coworkers, technical teams, outside consultants, executives, etc.).
• A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.
