Production Supervisor – 2^nd shift

WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Production Supervisor tosupervise employees and oversee the processes in a multi-shift and multiple department manufacturing team. The production supervisor will also ensure that production and company goals are met while producing top quality products and positive results through safe and efficient practices.

Hours are 2pm - 10:30pm, M-F

As a Production Supervisor, you will

• Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Production team
• Monitor workflow and production to ensure goals, production rate, and requirements are met
• Maintain safety, productivity, and quality standards in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
• Enforce and enhance policies and procedures to meet and exceed our goals
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees while enforcing systems, policies and procedures
• Maintain quality standards for finished product throughout the shift
• Manage and create reports for management or other departments as required
• Ensure quality checks and production documents are being completed in accordance with quality and production standards in a timely manner
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through employee development and equipment; allowing us to use these improvements to help fuel our growth
• Ensure customer/vendor/supplier-related corrective actions are effectively carried out in a timely and proper manner
• Manage timekeeping system and track employee hours and attendance
• Work a full-time schedule; work overtime as business demands including extended hours and/or weekends 
• Initiate, recommend, and provide quality, manufacturing, and maintenance procedures. Verify that intended results are being achieved through implementation and training
• Train new and existing team members on different functions of the production area to ensure all are able to perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity
• Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
• Keep work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualified Candidates will

• Have 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing
• Have 2-3 years being in a leadership/supervisory role 
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field 
• Be experienced in Injection Molding and Thermoforming set-up, processing, and troubleshooting 
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/manufacturing software
• Have knowledge of production processes, plant flows and scheduling processes
• Be a strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Have the ability to communicate work instructions and feedback in a simple and respectful manner
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
• Be authorized to work in the United States
