We are seeking a Patient Advocate

The Patient Advocate is responsible for ensuring that patients looking for dental treatment understand their options and receive the highest quality care. To qualify for consideration, candidates will possess confidence, emotional intelligence, credibility, high integrity, and excellent work ethic.
Responsibilities:
  • This role will require a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills to educate patients on dental options and closing skills to book consultation appointments.
  • The Patient Advocate will be responsible for following up on leads and existing patients who engage in Smile Dental Clinics' marketing efforts or schedule consultations while maintaining a strong ability to convert them into returning patients.
  • Duties will include reaching out to current and potential patients to increase conversion and retention, calling cold and warm leads, qualifying, setting appointments, performing in-person and Zoom patient consultations, and coordinating dental treatment with providers.
  • Manage a follow-up process by reaching out to potential patients who have already expressed an interest, identify where they are in their decision-making process, and/or follow up on patients who may have delayed scheduling an appointment for consultations
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills that build effective working relationships with patients, doctors, and other team members.
  • Must be a self-starter, accountable, and highly motivated to hit and exceed targets to reap financial reward (manage KPIs).
  • Make 25-50 outbound calls daily to follow up on leads and existing patients
  • Deliver 1 - 7 virtual and in-person consultations per day
  • Schedule up to 25 consultations a month with clients and closers based on follow-up activity
  • Focus on collecting a minimum of $600,000 per year to hit the minimum incentive baseline ($2,000 a day)
  • Manage the pipeline of prospects using company CRM and perform a daily review of leads including new and existing patients
  • Ability to ask valuable fact-finding questions
  • Document conversations in PMS in a clear, concise manner so fellow Patient Advocates can easily reference
  • Utilize role-play opportunities to gain confidence in the sales process
  • Communicate Smile Dental Clinics' value proposition to all patients
  • Comfortable with consistent follow-up and ability to get creative when reaching out to patients (i.e. video messages, gifts…etc)
  • Participate, as needed, in marketing efforts to increase patient lead generation.
  • Maintains professionalism and poise constantly, even when working under pressure.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Qualifications:
  • A quick study: can immediately build rapport, assess the patient’s needs, and create a sense of urgency to drive action
  • An outgoing and confident approach with strong communication skills
  • Experience using both a CRM and Dentrix PMS tracking system
  • Strong ability to talk through common dental treatment options
  • Understand and follow the sales scripts for presenting dental treatment options
  • Ability to leverage the CRM and be accurate in taking notes on patients
  • Can memorize sales scripts without deviation to master patient sales conversations
  • Ability to explain dental treatment to a patient in a clear manner with non-clinical terminology
  • Ability to understand, track, and meet sales targets during the sales cycle
  • High degree of knowledge of dental treatments including Restorative, Implant, Ortho, Hygiene, etc.,
  • Ability to ebb and flow with strategic directional changes in business or operations
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in a dental sales-specific role or 1-2 years in a non-dental sales role selling services
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
