Wayside Recovery Center is Hiring a Mental Health Professional Near Park, MN

Wayside Recovery Center is seeking a Mental Health Professional to provide services for clients. This position will assist int the development, implementation, and provision of services and will be flexibly located across Wayside Recovery Center sites. 

$5,000 Hiring Bonus

Essential Functions:

  • Become credentialed with all major health insurance agencies within a reasonable amount of time employed and assist other employees with credentialing.
  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals referred through Wayside’s Intake department.
  • Provide individual, couple, and family psychotherapy as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Intake and Billing teams to ensure proper service delivery and payment for therapy services.
  • Oversee that SUD clients who score positive on the mental health screening tool receive a diagnostic assessment within 10 days of admission by conducting assessments, supervising counselors, or master’s level mental health interns.
  • Assist SUD counselors to obtain diagnostic assessments and other mental health records from other agencies.
  • Provide mental health and clinical consultation to SUD teams as needed.
  • Develop and carry out procedures for providing family and outpatient mental health services to Wayside clients across all Wayside programs. • Provide testing and explanation of findings as needed.
  • Help with referrals to outside sources for additional mental health assessments and resources. • Assist with mental health group curriculum and instruction as needed.
  • Provide education to families and/or significant others that address mental health disorders, substance abuse and the interaction between the two disorders.
  • Assist with mental health funding matters and transfer of clients to/from mental health programs.
  • Role model behavior which is consistent with and supportive to people in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Such behavior will include upholding ethical standards of the program, respectful communication, appreciation for diversity, and reliable attendance.

Additional Duties:

  • Assist in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Identify available resources and refer clients to appropriate community services.
  • Facilitate client access to community resources.
  • Serve as a liaison to and/or provide in-services to mental health and other related community service agencies as directed.
  • Train and/or supervise interns as directed.
  • Participate in in-services, workshops, class work, and other continuing education relative to quality client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention/evaluation as needed.
  • Participate in on-site clinical supervision twice monthly. 

Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 per year depending on qualifications and licensure.

Schedule:

Flexible day time hours Monday-Friday. 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree required with licensure (LP, LMFT, LICSW, LPC/LPCC). LADC preferred but not required.
  • Competence in providing trauma informed care, substance use disorder treatment, diagnostic assessments, and family programming.
  • Experience in DBT, substance use disorder treatment, motivational interviewing, and family work is highly valued.
  • Requires the demonstrated ability to design programs and relate effectively to women of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be able to pass DHS background study and be free of communicable disease. • Microsoft Outlook/Office experience required.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation as the position is highly mobile with frequent travel.
  • No DWIs in last three years; No more than three moving violations/accidents in past three years.
  • Understanding of HIPPA and Mandated Reporting laws.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
