Nature of Work
Provides administrative oversight, conducts analytical analysis in the development, implementation, and on-going administration of specialized continuing education and outreach programs. Responsible for overseeing the budget, communication, and instruction for these specialized academic programs. Act as a liaison to the stakeholders in these programs.
Examples of Work Performed
1. Develop partnerships with external stakeholders across all sectors, including business, industry, education, government, veterans and non-profit entities 2. Support the creation of innovative programs to help organizations grow in responsible, sustainable ways that reflect Wayne State College’s vision 3. Assist in the development of academic and outreach programs for Wayne State College, including online, face to face, hybrid and blended courses 4. Work with the College Center Administrative Council and the College Center facilities manager to ensure the effective use of the College Center for Wayne State College programs and activities 5. In collaboration with Wayne State College’s Assistant Director of Admissions,, work with regional Community Colleges to ensure a smooth and effective transition of services for 2 2 students 6. Provide vision, leadership and facilitation for the Wayne State College Greater Siouxland Advisory Committee 7. Ensure key stakeholder input for an evolving, long-term strategic engagement strategy for the region 8. Assist the Wayne State Foundation in the implementation of regional alumni activities and resource building initiatives for Wayne State College 9. Build awareness and outreach programs through the creation of impactful marketing tactics in coordination with WSC’s Enrollment Management and College Relations area 10. Support recruitment efforts focused on the greater Siouxland area as appropriate 11. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Entrepreneurial and business experience, preferably in the private sector
Fundraising experience
Continuing/distance education experience
Demonstrated creative problem solving
Innovative and entrepreneurial thinking ability
Thorough knowledge and experience working with diverse student populations
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and constituents within the region
Core competency in the development and use of various marketing strategies to reach targeted stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications, comfort with public speaking, and excellent presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with a team

Salary Information
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive benefit package. Annual salary range is $68,218-$85,272.
