JOB SUMMARY

The Quantitative Specialist I furthers' the Department mission by leading and supporting data identification, synthesis, advance level analysis, reporting, visualization, and interpretation, under the supervision from the Chief Epidemiologist to inform evidence-based public health strategies and data-driven decisions that improve and promote the health and wellbeing of Wayne County residents.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • A Master's in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Experience in quantitative research skills, including experience with epidemiological study design and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, the public, and peers to provide or obtain information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Familiarity with public health concepts and issues is a plus.

  • NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted to meet the education and experience requirement of this position.
