The Juvenile Detention Specialist Supervisor provides supervision for Juvenile Detention Specialist and Juvenile Detention Specialist Team Leaders who are responsible for the care, custody and safety of residents housed at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility. The Juvenile Detention Specialist Supervisor ensures that operational policies and procedures are adhered to providing residential care for juveniles housed at the facility.
Summary of Job Description:
This position will be responsible for supervising the Juvenile Detention Specialist and Team Leader shifts and personnel at the Juvenile Detention Facility. The Juvenile Detention Specialist Supervisor will ensure the care, custody, order, and safety of youth at the Juvenile Detention Facility. The Supervisor will supervise and instruct youth in personal hygiene, housekeeping, and special detail work within the institution. They will be responsible for scheduling personnel, ensuring compliance with residential visitation policy, supervise meals and maintain records of activities and behavior of youths in their charge and ensure that all state regulations and rules are being adhered to.
