Studio Manager Job Description

Studio Managers are true leaders paving the path to success for our Cerologists® and the overall business.

Managers help to create a unique experience for our clients, they provide ongoing coaching to the service providers and manage the overall needs of the business. Developing a team incudes morning Huddles to get the day started and weekly 1:1’s to create and track goals. Creating and maintaining a learning environment allows our Studio Coordinators and Cerologists become their best by celebrating accomplishments and recognizing areas of opportunity to improve upon.

We are seeking an individual who has an entrepreneurial spirit that will champion the careers of our Cerologists and business to success.

This person must:

· Be able to confidently manage all aspects of the business from client service, human resource management, local marketing/PR, inventory, and fiscal accountability.

· Oversee policies, procedures and structures that ensure consistency and outstanding service.

Summary

The Studio Manager position is responsible for all day-to-day operation and management of the business and of leading a team to deliver the ultimate client experience.

The Studio Manager will also work closely with owner(s) to help oversee human resource management, public relations/marketing, customer service/relationship management, and fiscal accountability. This position requires accessibility including first point of contact 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Essential Functions

1. Client Acquisition, Client Experience, Client Retention

2. Inventory Management

3. Local Marketing, Community Engagement, Local Studio Social Media, and Public Relations

4. Staff Recruitment, Hiring, Management, Development and Retention

5. Studio Upkeep this includes but not limited to the following; managing cleaning checklist in accordance to the Board of Cosmetology for the treatment rooms & front lobby area. Identifying & reporting any broken or unsafe equipment in the studio to ensure the safety or employees and clients.

6. P&L Management and Ownership of Critical Numbers (numbers that have profound impact on the company)

7. Execution of System Wide Promotions and Club Orange Loyalty Program Growth and Retention

Role Scope & Complexity

This role ensures that the business is running at maximum efficiency, the client experience is delivering on expectations and goals, the staff is receiving applicable training and development, and the business is operating at a profit.

The Studio Manager is responsible for oversight of operating according to the laws of the State and that all employees (Cerologists) have the appropriate licenses, abilities to perform the duties assigned, and is adept at delivering a high-end client experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assists in employee hiring/firing, training and development, disciplinary action, payroll and scheduling.

  • Directly Reporting: Cerologist

Minimum Qualifications:

· Required

  • Effective leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate a team to deliver a superior client experience
  • Exceptional Customer Service
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously
  • Detail Oriented
  • Collaborative

· Preferred

  • 2- year degree or equivalent
  • 2 years business and staff management
  • 2 years beauty industry/salon experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
