Royal Corportaion is a premier distributor of Janitorial/Sanitary Supplies and disposable foodservice & concession supplies servicing customers nationwide with distribution centers in CA, WI, TX, and FL. We are seeking a Field Technician Manager who is highly self-motivated, dedicated, and a dependable individual based in the Santa Fe Springs, CA area to be part of our field service technician team in supporting janitorial chemical dispensing, laundry, and dishwashing chemical dispensing systems

Essential Duties

• Routing Royal field service technicians weekly and in advance balancing the variables of order delivery timing, geography, customer importance, situational urgency, common sense use of Royal resources, technician ability and technician availability, amongst other variables
• With inside team support, coordinate order entry for field service requests with review for accuracy.
• With inside team support, coordinate cost effective travel for technicians including flights, car rentals and hotels.
• Augment program for technician van inventory and technician equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Manage the use of third-party technician services where necessary.
• Receiving, responding, and following through to close service calls. Communicating in a way that customers feel we are being responsive and proactive.
• Speaking via phone with sites to troubleshoot and assist with issues
• Coordinate installation and communication for new construction and remodels
• Help manage technician fleet of vehicles (maintenance, procurement, GPS etc.)
• Use and grow the capacity of the technician phone app Device Magic while managing database with inside team support.
• Manage and monitor hours of technicians to ensure labor efficiency and productivity.
• Manage equipment repair correspondence with national 3rd party equipment repair.
• Manage reviews of technician performance.
• Recruit and training of new and current technicians as necessary with the goal of technical proficiency for all technicians in all major service categories including dish machine dispensers.
• Coach, counsel employees on work and performance.
• Leading role in augmenting training program for technicians (videos).
• Content management of website portal for Royal technicians to ensure consistency of service and installation.
• Perform technician duties as required with potential travel obligations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• ability to handle problems according to a prescribed format; hand and power tools experience a plus
• maintain a clean driving record
• able to travel out of town/state including some overnight and weekend stays if needed
• able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, involves manual loading/unloading and lifting
• able to work in a fast paced environment
• able to follow directions accurately and taking accurate measurements
• communicates well with co-workers and supervisor
• strong team player and ability to work with others

This position offers a competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits program. Pay range $60k-$70k.
