Responsibilities: - Install glass in windows, skylights, storefronts, and other structures - Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions - Remove old or broken glass and replace with new glass - Fabricate and install metal frames for glass installation - Install and repair mirrors, shower doors, and other glass products - Work from schematics or blueprints to ensure accurate installation - Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role - Strong knowledge of glazing techniques and materials - Proficient in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing glass - Familiarity with construction estimating and reading blueprints - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting heavy glass panels Skills: - Maintenance Person skills for general construction tasks - Construction estimating for accurate project planning - Ability to build and remodel structures using various materials - Fabrication skills for creating custom glass pieces - Cabinet installation for integrating glass into cabinetry designs - Door hanging for installing glass in doors and frames - Familiarity with reading schematics for precise installation - Frame carpentry for constructing frames for glass installation - Fixture installation for mounting glass fixtures securely Note: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification at any time.
