Overview

Position located in Schofield, WI. Not a remote position. 

Summary: Wausau Supply Company (WSC) relies heavily on technology to drive speed and efficiency across all aspects of the business. This role will build, support, secure and maintain technology systems that make that possible. 

Responsibilities

Duties to include, (but not limited to): 

• Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, and system functional specifications. 
• General administration of Microsoft 365 software, security, and functionality.
• Design and deploy server operating systems and applications based on design specifications. 
• Maintain backup and DR environments, including testing. 
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including security and patch updates, upgrades, and configuration changes on servers and desktops. 

• Design and deploy Active Directory user accounts, security groups, and group policy based on design specifications. 
• Perform routine software audits to identify problems and ensure security and license compliance. 
• Maintain current and accurate documentation of system configurations. 
• Receive and document incidents, change requests, project requests, and troubleshooting efforts. 
• Manage and assist with monitoring and IT operations. 

• Design, implement and support workflow technologies such as Logic Apps and Power Automate. 
• Monitor and track incidents to ensure resolution occurs within customer service level agreements (SLAs). 
• Engage and contribute to long term IT projects as outlined by special project charters. 
• Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

An Information Technology Systems Administrator will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to: 

• Provide first-class customer service to internal external stakeholders and clients. 
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. 
• Remain highly organized, flexible, and able to react well to immediate issues with attention to detail and deadlines. 

• Manage time and prioritize work. 
• Support and administer Windows and Linux Server operations systems. 
• Support Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, and other software applications, on-prem and in-cloud. 
• Learn about modern technologies and keep up to date on the latest technological advances. 
• Motivated to go beyond the job description to perform duties as assigned. 

Education / Experience: 

• Possess a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited college or university in network administration, computer science or a minimum of 4 years of related work experience. 

Working Demands / Physical Requirements: 

• General office conditions with continuous sitting and heavy computer usage. 
• Occasional short-term out-of-town travel for work and education related purposes 
• Afterhours support on a rotational basis. 
• Ability to crawl under desks and lift up to 50 pounds
