Watts Steam Store, a Singer Industrial Company, is one of America’s largest Industrial Distributors and has an opening for a Service Technician. This role is located in Twin Falls, ID. The primary responsibility for the Service Technician is to provide exceptional customer service to Watts Steam Store customers in repairs & maintenance of equipment, refurbishing or rebuilding of equipment and products. The service Technician must always exhibit positive and effective interaction with all Watts customers, associates, and vendors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Commit and uphold the Watts Steam Store safety commitment in all actions and communications as it applies in our safety manual and procedures.

Create and maintain accurate service and repair documents for all work to be performed.

Use and understand all documents, forms, and procedures as they apply.

Diagnose issues with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, pressure washer, waste oil furnaces and compressed air systems.

Service and repair on-road, off-road mobile equipment, and industrial fluid power systems.

Refurbish, rebuild, and replace required components to restore equipment to required working order.

Perform welding and fabrication tasks as the project requires.

Attend the required training programs on products, services and self-development programs offered by or through Watts Steam Store.

Maintaining a clean work area for safety and to expedite project completion.

Able to work overtime, travel and work an occasional on-call shift.

Perform all other duties assigned by the management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, and installation. Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, compressed air, pressure washer, waste oil furnaces and mechanical systems preferred but willing to train the right person.

Professional, superior customer service skills.

Strongly motivated with an ability to work independently.

High level of integrity and ethical values.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Basic computer skills or ability to learn for record keeping.

Clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.

Ability to consistently use arms & legs with full range of motion; frequent stooping, bending, squatting & kneeling; exert push & pull forces.

Experience:

Hydraulics: 1 year (Preferred)

Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
