About the RoleIn this role you will provide the leadership for a highly motivated and experienced technical organization. You will manage the activities to expand the skills and capabilities of technical team members required to produce innovative products, systems, and services to meet both customer and business needs. You will interface with senior management and global functional leaders to develop strategies to achieve complex goals. You will play a crucial role as the champion for fostering robust engineering processes and standardization in product development across the whole organization. Your Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the enterprise vision and transformation of the technical organization to better support the customer and the businessParticipate in overall business planning and budgeting to determine long-term department strategy in support of business plansEstablishes and improves product development engineering processes including leading the change control process at the enterprise levelContinuously advances the methods for engineering design and product development through Lean Product Development, Agile, industry benchmarking, advanced research or other innovative methods Champions standardization in product development Provide the organization with technical and financial information and assist the organization in making the appropriate prioritization and portfolio decisionsBuild and foster a constructive and cohesive team environment Required QualificationsAdvanced Engineering degree (MS/PhD) or Bachelor’s Engineering degree and 10 or more years of related experienceExperience establishing robust engineering business processes Experience leading and managing cross-functional teamsProject/Program Management ExperienceExperience in product development Desired QualificationsDemonstrated ability to create/foster a leadership environment that is conducive to teamwork and supports a fast-paced, highly visual, and collaborative work environmentExperience working with a globally distributed workforceExperience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) processUnderstanding of smart thermal systems
