Position Summary:

Hasadministrativeresponsibilityfornursingstandardsandpracticeregardlessofthenurse'spracticeareaor reportingrelationship.Directshospitalnursingactivitieswithinthecontextofhospitalpoliciesandprocedures. Thispositionisaccountable for the operations ofthe inpatient and outpatient nursingunitsand other defined ancillary departments and isresponsible for the quality assessment,implementation,coordinationandevaluation,andstandardizationofsystem-wideinpatientcare.

  • Ensurescontinuousandtimelynursingservicesto patients.
  • Ensuresnursingstandards,practices,policies,andprocedures,inaccordancewithallapplicablelaws,regulatoryand accreditation requirements are consistent with current research findings and national professional standards.
  • DirectsnursingservicePerformanceImprovementactivities.
  • Sustain regulatory compliance/survey readiness CMS/TJC
  • Actively participates in hospital leadership functions.
  • Collaborateswithhospitalleaderstodesignandprovidepatientcareandservices,including the availabilityofsufficient, qualified nursing staff.
  • Develops,presents,andmanagesbudgetfornursingservices.

Requirescriticalthinkingskills,decisivejudgment,andtheabilitytoworkwithminimalsupervision.Mustbeableto work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Knowledgeofnursingprinciples,theories,andpracticestandardswithverbalinterpersonalandquantitativeskills
