Position Summary:
- Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas, and catering services.
- Stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and
procedures.
- Utilizes proper safety and safe food handling practices.
- Records temperatures of hot foods prior to service. Ensures that food remains within a safe temperature range during meal service.
- Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining equipment, floors, work and food service areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Checks and records dish machine temperatures.
- Takes trash to outside dumpster. Keeps trash can and lids washed and clean. Keeps trash transportation carts washed and clean.
- Operates equipment according to operating instructions and safety regulations. Uses PPE as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
