SMIT Requirements – When am I ready to apply?

We are excited you are interested in growing with Watermelon Swim’s Slyce Manager in Training Program (SMIT)! The primary objective of the SMIT Program is to assist you (and the company) in finding the best leadership role for you at Watermelon Swim. During the year-long training program, you will be exposed to different management roles, from Instructor Trainer (IT) and Manager on Duty (MOD) to Maintenance and Site Manager, to help you in forming a picture of all the opportunities available at WMS. You will also receive training through meetings, enrichment reading assignments, and on-the-job training in all aspects of management, such as handling upset customers, identifying and correcting problems before they arise, managing different personalities, and more. We will only consider applicants that clearly meet 100% of the qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Must be currently or previously employed in a leadership position for a minimum of 6 months, preferably working full-time hours

· Must be currently or previously employed or have volunteered working with children for a minimum of 6 months

· Must be currently or previously employed in a customer service position for a minimum of 6 months

· Previous experience in an education or sports environment is preferred, but not required

· Must submit 2 letters of reference

· Must be available to work up to 45 hours a week

· Must be willing to travel to all WMS locations

· Must be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications within 90 days, from an internal or external source
