Located on the beautiful Oregon Coast, Waterfall Community Health Center has an opening for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Compensation includes fully paid employee medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disability coverage. Job Description
Job Purpose:
Function as a Board CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) in a team and mission-based setting to conduct the full range of standardized and functional assessment procedures, develop treatment recommendations for intensity and frequency of therapy, develop individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans that are both evidence-based and trauma-informed, provide supervision and direct implementation of therapeutic interventions, provide ongoing consultation and training for parents and/or caregivers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, client-centered support services for a diverse caseload for adults, adolescents, children with ASD.
Duties:
  • Adhere to the spirit of Waterfall Community Health Center to remove barriers to care and our mission statement while performing assigned duties.

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for clients on caseload and utilize assessment data to identify the need for services, as well as a treatment modality, intensity, and frequency.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed best practices.
  • Maintain and manage caseload authorizations, in collaboration with our business/financial services and administrative staff.
  • Provide training to parents/guardians on treatment techniques; maintain positive working relations with clients’ families; respond to guardians’ questions in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation associated with comprehensive electronic client files which include assessment results, treatment plans, session notes, data collection, the release of information, and other medical documents acquired on behalf of the client.
  • Establish a clinical pathway for interdisciplinary collaboration. 
  • Project and quantify the need for additional medical, psychological, social, or therapeutic services for children with autism and assist families in obtaining appropriate referrals as needed for treatment that falls outside of the professional scope of ABA.
  • Provide supervision for behavior technicians (BT) and behavior analysis interventionists (BAI) with and without clients present, in compliance with BACB and BARB requirements.
  • Embrace feedback and suggestions regarding case management from the program manager and program staff as appropriate.
  • Deliver both direct therapy and supervision of direct therapy hours as needed to establish and maintain continuity of care.
  • Maintain a minimum weekly average of 15-20 billable caseload hours for a panel of clients, providing 20% supervision through a combination of face-to-face, family consultation, and indirect activities.
  • Coordinate with Program Manager to maintain quality of cases including evaluating skills and behavioral data and implementing data-driven program changes.
  • Act as a Liaison between area schools, school-based health clinics, integrated behavioral health, social health, and local pediatric providers, establishing a regular connection with designated school staff. 
  • Demonstrate substantial knowledge of applied behavioral analysis and adapt therapeutic strategies to the individual characteristics of the client. 
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, deal tactfully and patiently with clients, establish and maintain records, use initiative and judgment, and maintain effective working relationships with other related agencies, professionals, and citizen groups.
  • Support program goals to reduce culture and socio-economic barriers between clients and institutions committed to working with marginalized and diverse community populations.
  • Promote individual and organizational integrity by exhibiting ethical behavior to maintain high standards.
  • Continuously expand knowledge and understanding of community resources and services; facilitate client access to, and assist the client in utilizing those services, including coordination with social services agencies.
  • Perform any other duties as directed to help drive our vision, abide by our values, and fulfill our Mission.
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA), Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Maintain compliance with credentialing including active licensure as a clinician.
  • Ability to be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, private and other insurance within the scope of licensure.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience working in healthcare or similar setting providing pediatric ABA services, preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with ASD, preferred. 
  • Solid working knowledge of the foundations and applications of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Successful clearance of all federal, and state criminal background checks and sex offender searches.
  • This position may require successful completion of the school-based background checks through DHS and the FBI.
Licensures/Certifications:
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required. 
  • Unrestricted Oregon license administered by the Behavior Analyst Regulatory Board (BARB) to practice Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Immunizations Required:
  • TB test (upon hire).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working at a computer.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to sick people. 
  • Able to travel as needed.
