Water of Life Community Church is Hiring a Technical Arts Lead Near Fontana, CA

  • This position starts between $22.77 and $25.90 per hour. This is a full time position at 40 hrs/week.
A Technical Arts Lead is responsible for assisting the Director of Technical Arts & Media and the Production Manager with all audio, video, and lighting systems and the various production needs of WOL Ministries; and functions as a Campus Media Lead for one of the off-site campuses. This position is responsible for building and training teams to assist with all technical crafts including, but not limited to, presentation software, audio, lighting, video, staging, cameras, screens, live feeds, recordings, power, and rigging. This position also assists with operation of equipment, maintenance and special projects, as assigned. Weekend and evening hours are required.
Campus Media / Mid-Week / Event Tech - This position provides technical support with the staffing and equipping of all Mid-week/Weekend events and services on and off campus, in a proactive, problem-solving manner.
Production - Handle a wide range of activities to ensure successful planning and executing of WOL MEDIA requirements. Assist with all live experience production: stage layout, set-up and strike, scenic stage design, FOH Audio, lighting, camera operation (including multi-camera events), IMAG, live video directing, run-thru, acquisition of live service elements, and ProPresenter set up. Assist with set and stage design/construction/management. Have the ability to function when needed or assigned by the Production Manager and/or Director of Media & Technical Arts as a Lead for weekend/mid-week services, campus, or event.
Tech Support - Provides technical support for weekend/mid-week services and events as needed and directed by the Production Manager and Director of Technical Arts & Media. Help implement set-up, rehearsals, services, and tear downs. Instruct others to carry out agreed-upon WOL MEDIA needs. Monitor volunteer/team activities as needed and provide guidance and troubleshooting. Train volunteers for their assignments. Help monitor the condition of equipment including lighting, sound, and video equipment to assure all venues are ready for use at any time.
Admin – May help coordinate and/or provide administrative support for WOL MEDIA. Attend and participate in reoccurring Team Meetings and scheduled 1-on-1 meetings.

  • 3 years’ relevant experience providing Technical Arts / Production support
  • 3 years professional experience in live sound audio. Mixing audio for large bands in the positions of FOH, Monitors, and/or Broadcast.
  • 2 years’ event planning and delivery experience
  • Expert knowledge of relevant software. Software may include; Mac OS, ProPresenter, wireless workbench, Final Cut Pro, Avid ProTools, Blackmagic, pro lighting console software, and other related large format audio console software.
  • Expert knowledge of large format digital audio consoles. Working knowledge of other technical arts tech equipment including; lighting consoles, lighting fixtures, video switchers, KiPro, broadcast cameras, and supportive gear for a live production environment.
  • Experience leading other staff
  • Demonstrated success planning and running complex events that involve volunteer teams
  • Ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
  • Ability to work with scissor and boom lifts
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Friendly, flexible, able to multitask, enjoys working with all kinds of people
  • Able to work flexible hours, be available on evenings and weekends as program requires
  • Experience with MS Office
