Responsibilities include supervising and interacting with children in a Christian School environment. Help maintain a positive, safe and developmentally appropriate class setting in accordance with all relevant laws, policies and procedures. May involve potty training and diapering. Should have the physical ability to sit with children and perform physical activities with them. Must be flexible to work in different classes and work with different age groups of children. Have a heart for ministry to children and implementing the core values of Water of Life Community Church. Twelve (12) Early Childhood Development college units Core Classes - CD Growth & Development, CD Child/Family/Community, CD Curriculum or Principles/Practices
One (1) year experience working with children ages 3-5 in a group setting preferred
Satisfactory "Live scan" fingerprint and child abuse index clearance by the DOJ
Current CPR and First Aid Training
Current physical with a TB test; current Tdap, MMR and Influenza vaccinations
Basic knowledge in office technology tools (web-based, MS Office, etc.); intermediate knowledge preferred
Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
Demonstrated passion for children and their care and development
Flexible, positive attitude
