Warrior Insurance Network is Hiring an Actuarial Analyst Near Bedford, IL

The Product & Actuarial Analysis Department designs, develops and launches new products and product enhancements that drive profitable growth, improve product efficiencies, and delivers return on investment through our distribution channels.

The Actuarial Analyst will assist in the areas of pricing, reserving and analytics. The individual in this position is responsible for producing rate level indications, loss reserve estimates, and support as needed. The ideal candidate is an actuarial analyst with insurance knowledge and strong analytical skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in completing pricing and reserving analyses
  • Understands and can apply basic actuarial methodology into analyses
  • Assist with preparing exhibits, presentations, and other documents necessary to communicate strategic initiatives to other departments
  • Provide monthly internal data reports and insight to the management teams
  • Prepare and submit basic filings for rate/rule or forms
  • Uses industry and company data to assist with ad-hoc projects
  • Ability to use software to extract, analyze, organize, and communicate data to support decision-making
  • Lead the implementation of basic product revisions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to support the company's growth and profit objectives
  • Strong time management skills and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Curious and self-driven.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and understand databases
  • Has good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Works well independently and is proactive but requires assistance.
  • 1-3 Years of relevant experience
  • Sitting for SOA/CAS exams
