Warren Recruits is Hiring an Intermodal Dispatcher Near Newark, NJ
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency.
- Utilize transportation management systems (such as SyteLine, Oracle Transportation Management) to track shipments and monitor delivery status.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee fleet management activities, including vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when interacting with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning and dispatching principles.
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts and practices.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve transportation operations.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (such as SyteLine, Oracle Transportation Management).
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of fleet management practices, including vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Typing proficiency for accurate data entry.
