This part-time position will work with the Director of Maintenance Operations and the rest of the property team. Our internship offers the opportunity to work at Wangard Partners, Inc. and experience the width and depth of Wangard’s various operations from the viewpoint of a maintenance technician and building engineer.Your Mentor and Guide: our Director of Maintenace Operations (DOMO), a Certified Facility Manager. With our DOMO you will:

• Be introduced to all aspects of Wangard’s operations
• Complete property inspections with the property and asset managers
• Review the bidding process of service contracts and monitor vendor relationships
• Learn and understand the basics of managing capital improvement projects
• Prepare maintenance reports and other job-related documentation
• Participate in industry trade shows and events with trade associations and our vendors
• Virtual Reality experience in Trade Training through Skill Mill.

• Fire/Life Safety
• Appliance repairs, equipment repairs, painting, HVAC repairs, carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, glass replacement, and screen repair
• General building façade and envelope work such as, gutter & down spout repair, siding repairs, window & door repairs, caulking and leak detection
• Assist with all work necessary to quickly bring vacated units to rent ready condition
• Landscaping and grounds management
• Monitor the pool operations daily and maintain the appropriate health department standards.
