Wamesit Lanes Family Entertainment Center is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Tewksbury, MA

As the Operations Manager at our facility, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of all attractions, including Bowling, Arcades, and Golf Simulators. Your focus will be on motivating and fostering accountability within the Bowling & Attractions team to ensure a positive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance on initiatives and operating standards to drive positive business outcomes.
  • Train, coach, develop, and motivate the team while effectively communicating expectations to enhance morale.
  • Enforce Wamesit policies and procedures and handle the management and discipline of subordinate team members.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service is consistently provided across all areas of the facility.
  • Maintain and uphold the training program for team members.
  • Efficiently run and maintain attractions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Enforce safety practices, regulations, and policies for the safety of guests and staff.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels in Bowling & Attraction areas for all shifts.
  • Recruit and interview candidates for employment to meet the company's needs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components in attractions.
  • Schedule additional maintenance support for attractions when necessary.
  • Oversee redemption stock, display, and secure merchandise in storage areas.
  • Manage an inventory of attractions, including redemption items, arcade replacement parts, and bowling shoes.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly game maintenance efficiently and safely.
  • Review and analyze performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Understand cost control, financial accounting, inventory levels, and labor management.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis on attractions and their repairs to optimize financial results, drive sales, and control costs.
  • Develop action plans to increase revenue and control expenses, maximizing profit for all attractions.
  • Supervise Bowling and Attractions staff as well as the Bowling & Attractions Supervisor.
  • Ensure all facilities and amusements are clean and free of debris.
  • Fully comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal health, safety, and labor regulations.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by Upper Management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Bowling or Arcade industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office Applications, including Excel.
  • Successful completion of a Background Check and CORI.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • This position primarily operates in a busy and noisy Family Entertainment Center and office environment with continuous interruptions and background noises.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing while working on a computer or covering the facility.
  • Work with flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise.
  • Ability to navigate throughout all areas of the facility.
  • Frequent communication with team members and customers.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting products (up to 40 lbs.), using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and potential exposure to hot, cold, and hazardous equipment.
  • Must be well-presented and dressed in business casual attire.
