Job Description

Art and Wellness Enterprises (AWE) is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Team Lead. AWE supports operating non-profits founded by Alice Walton including the Alice L. Walton Foundation, Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, Art Bridges, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, and Whole Health Institute.

About the Position

The AR/AP Team Lead will provide leadership in the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The Team Lead assigns, supervises and leads the AR/AP team and oversees vendor invoicing and payment disbursement functions. The Team Lead will also be responsible for training and developing the team, optimizing technology and improving processes.

What you will do

  • Lead the AR/AP team and provide daily supervision. Act as a subject matter expert and assists in resolving high priority processing and payment issues.
  • Run AR aging reports and resolve past due issues.
  • Management of a team to ensure the team’s deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Review, track, and report the performance of the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team with external bench marking simplify the processes and improve team’s performance
  • Maintain positive communication and relations with clients and vendors
  • Manage the processing of incoming invoices, receipts, payments (via check, credit card, and electronic file delivery), employee reimbursements, manual check requests, and reconciliation of monthly statements and credit card accounts
  • Problem solving, query resolution, and balancing of workflows in the team
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications required for your success.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Possess a strong commitment to customer service and organizational mission.
  • Highest ethics as they relate to all aspects of business.
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker who anticipates future issues and opportunities, recommending solutions to complicated and varied problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through on assigned tasks
  • Experience in a professional communications role with stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Experience in working with an accounting software
  • Experience in Financial Edge preferred
