What You Will Do
The Business Affairs team drafts and manages the contracts, and consults on the business opportunities, associated with the Disney Sports Line of Business. As the Business Affairs Manager, you will support key stakeholders in the Disney Sports line of business by evaluating new initiatives, existing projects and issues that arise regarding legal affairs, regulatory mandates and The Walt Disney Company policy. You will also draft a variety of agreements, including but not limited to: Event Management, Services, Sponsorship, Charity Race Registration, Exhibitor, Broadcast, Marketing and Promotions. You will work closely, and collaborate with, Legal, Risk Management, Finance, PR/Media, Marketing, Corporate Brand, Sourcing and Procurement, Operations and Corporate Alliances. You will also directly support runDisney, Sports Business Development, Marketing, and the Event Management teams in relation to sporting events and activities taking place at the Walt Disney World ® Resort and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. You will also maintain business standards and practices compliance; and bring your knowledge and experience in the field to work with the team to successfully accomplish the organization’s goals. This role will report to the Manager of Business Affairs.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Detail Oriented: proficient knowledge drafting complex contracts
Communication: experience communicating contractual terms, and business and legal principles
Partnership: proven experience working on projects with multiple partners
Flexibility: comfortable modifying strategies as projects develop
Passion: experience and desire to work in Business or Legal Affairs
Negotiations: experience negotiating and preparing business contracts
Education
Juris Doctor (JD)

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
