Under the supervision of the Director of Upward Bound, the employee provides advising regarding education, career, dual enrollment, and financial aid needs to program participants in the target high schools. The employee develops and conducts workshops and activities contributing to the development and implementation of program goals and objectives.

SALARY: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule E3 03 (range: $44,333 - $61,480). This is a grant-funded position. In the event that funds for this position are discontinued, the College shall have the right to discontinue the position. Neither tenure or non-probationary status may be attained in this position.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: APRIL 15, 2024
The position will be based initially at the Sparks Campus in Eufuala.
More than one position in the same job classification may be filled from the applicants for this position should another vacancy occur during the search process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Upward Bound Advising. The employee provides academic, career, and personal direction to Upward Bound students to aid in the participants’ successful completion of high school and enrollment in a post-secondary educational program.

Sick Leave
All regular full-time non-instructional staff earns one day of sick leave which is the equivalent of 8 hours of sick leave per month. Unused sick leave is rolled over to the following year.
