Sign-on Bonus: $15,000 sign-on bonus eligible position for qualified candidates!

Ready to launch your nursing career in the dynamic world of Med-Surg? Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is on the lookout for passionate, new graduate RNs to join our extraordinary team and make an impact for our diverse patient population. If you're eager to be part of cutting-edge patient care, innovation, and a supportive healthcare family, this is your chance to shine and thrive!

New Graduate Nurse Residency Program

Our New Grad Residency Program is a 12-month program that supports newly licensed registered nurses (RNs) as they make their initial transition to practice in one of our five medical centers. The program includes a comprehensive, evidence-based clinical orientation and a nursing professional development transition to practice curriculum. The program's framework is designed as follows:

  • Over the course of the first three months, you'll have the opportunity to integrate both theory and skills by engaging in live specialty-track clinical academies. These academies will be led by a dedicated team of nurse educators who will guide you through the process.
  • Continuing from months 3 to 12, you'll be actively participating in a series of education-rich, monthly transition-to-practice nursing professional development workshops. These workshops are designed to further enhance your knowledge and skills in the nursing field.
  • Throughout this program, you will have the chance to establish strong and cohesive relationships with fellow participants in your assigned cohort. This supportive environment will encourage emotional connections and mutual growth.
  • As an integral part of your journey, you'll engage in insightful clinical discussions and interactive experiences facilitated by subject matter experts. These sessions will cover essential topics such as professionalism in nursing, critical thinking, patient outcomes, as well as self-care and well-being.
  • To provide you with personalized guidance and support, the Nurse Residency Program Coordinator will offer individualized mentoring. This guidance will be instrumental in helping you navigate through the program successfully and develop into a skilled and confident nurse.
