Wagoner County Sheriff's Office is Hiring an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Near Wagoner, OK

The Wagoner County Detention Facility is looking for a EMT to join our medical team within the jail. Our current medical team consists of the health services administrator, the jail physician, 2 LPN's (day shift) and 1 CNA (night shift). We only have one spot left to fill in efforts to provide the inmates with 24/7 medical care. We strive as an organization to be proactive and set an example. We are looking for a dedicated team player to add to our organization and help us fulfill full medical coverage.
EMTs will work on the overnight shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays with alternating Wednesdays. Off every alternating Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. (Scheduling is always subject to change, but doesn't happen often) EMT's will be responsible for new intake medical screens, taking patient vitals, passing medications, setting up med boxes by physician orders, and assessing emergency situations.
At Wagoner County Detention Center, we aim to make safety and security a priority. Detention staff will securely escort inmates directly to the medical station to be evaluated. Detention staff will remain present during all evaluations. EMTs will never be left alone with inmates at any time.

Pay
  • EMT pay will be between $13 to $17 a hr based on experience

  • CNA certificate (1 years experience or more)
  • MA (0 year experience or more) 
  • EMT (0 year experience or more)
