The Wagoner County Detention Facility is looking to expand its medical department. The purpose of this expansion is to provide a greater amount of service to inmates. We strive as an organization to be proactive and set an example. We are looking for dedicated team players to add to our organization.
This LPN position will be for the overnight shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays with alternating Wednesdays. Off every alternating Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. (Scheduling is always subject to change, but doesn't happen often).
All nurses will work under the supervision of the jail physician and the medical administration by guidelines set forth by the Oklahoma Jail Standards. Nurses are expected to work independently by using the physician orders provided for patient treatment. Nurses will treat a wide variety of ailments and conditions.
At Wagoner County Detention Center, we aim to make safety and security a priority. Detention staff will securely escort inmates directly to the medical station to be evaluated by the nurse. Detention staff will remain present during all evaluations. Nurses will never be left alone with inmates.
