Job: Replenishment Buyer

Replenishment Buyer Job Responsibilities:

· Purchases and maintains multi-line product replenishment in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery target.

· Manages and controls inventory levels to ensure products availability for customer’s demands.

· Reviews product assortment and works on SKU rationalization.

· Builds, maintains, and manages relationships with both vendors and customers.

· Inspects customer returns.

· Manages excess or obsolete inventory.

· Analyzes product profitability, equities, and market pricing.

· Evaluates competitive product, pricing, and programs.

· Processes all billbacks on return and credits.

· Collaborates with outside sales and customer service on lost sales and out-of-stock and/or over-stock issues.

· Communicates market conditions, product availability, new items, shorts, and delivery delays to sales team.

· Manages expiration report and works in partnership with sales department to move product.

· Maintains software system to minimize close dated issues and expired product impact.

· Assists marketing on promotional items.

Replenishment Buyer Competencies:

· Knowledge of inventory control, production, manufacturing, and scheduling.

· Able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments within the company.

· Working knowledge of MS Office.

· Able to think critically and create definitive solutions to problems.

· Capable of working in a fast-paced, results driven environment.

· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

· Able to learn new software (BFC, Insight, and NCR)

Replenishment Buyer Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma

· Minimum two years’ experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role.

· Proven success in inventory management.

· Experience in the food distribution industry is preferred.

Replenishment Buyer Physical Requirements:

· Sit for an extended period in front of a computer.

· Occasionally lift between 20-55 pounds.
