IT Support

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist computer users with the operation/repair of computer systems and other technological equipment.
• Providing technical assistance by installing, configuring, testing, and upgrading computer software and hardware.
• Perform tasks that revolve around detection and resolution of technical problems.
• Maintain company networks and ensure smooth performance of computer systems.
• Set up and configure new equipment
• Perform routine maintenance of computer/network systems.
• Carry out diagnostic tests to identify and resolve faults in a technological system.
• Monitor equipment and application to ensure optimal performance.
• Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
• Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

• High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications
• Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language
• Demonstrated written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
• Multitasking skills to assist multiple employees at once
• Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
• Customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and co-workers
• At least 2 years of experience

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Being able to be on the computer for long periods of time
