Vssi is Hiring a Proposal Coordinator Near Fort Worth, TX
- POSITION: Proposal Coordinator
- LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX
- HOURS/SHIFT: 9/80 schedule. Typically, 7:15-5:00 M-Th (9 hours), working Friday 8 hours, off every other Friday.
- PAY RATE: $20-24 Per hour, depends on experience.
- DURATION: Temporary to permanent after a minimum of 480 hours
- Work with the Bid and Proposal Lead to become familiar with the entire Bids and Proposal process, rules and policies from a company, state, and federal regulatory standpoint. i.e., Company AS9100 polices, CFR’s, FAR’s and DFAR’s regulations pertaining to bids and proposals.
- Develop competency in submitting requests to suppliers per company process and policies, i.e RFQ’s, ROMs, budgetary estimates, RFI’s, etc.
- Gain proficiency in analyzing customer’s requirements for requests for RFQ’s ROM’s budgetary estimates and RFI’s through OJT and classroom training.
- Conduct informal kickoffs of customers requests per company policies and procedures.
- Understand and gain proficiency creating preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Obtain and analyze quotes from various sources for items & services to be procured.
- Update pricing sheets and ERP system RFQ records with supplier quote data.
- Experience in Defense Bidding and/or Proposal function, or related field preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Min. one year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of one year’s experience working in databases, such as ERP systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Purchasing related certifications, a plus (ISM, APICS or related field).
- Familiarity with Government regulations. I.E. FAR, DFAR and pertinent federal rules pertaining to proposal activities.
- Manufacturing experience/background, or internship in a manufacturing environment
- Military/Government procurement experience preferred.
- Knowledge of electronics, raw materials, and MRO supplies, preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Friendly and professional demeanor and appearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
