VSP is Hiring a Secretary/Receptionist Near Baltimore, MD

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(This enumeration is representative rather than inclusive. Other duties may be performed to ensure quality of care, service, customer relations, and efficiency.)

1. Greets, escorts and directs office visitors; operates two (2) line telephone system; determines the nature of the call, provides general information, refers more complex questions to appropriate staff and takes messages as required.

2. Type correspondence and a variety of other materials from rough draft or routine instructions.

3. Designs, updates and generates forms for use by staff (i.e. uniform issue and return etc.)

4. Responsible for accuracy and completion of all assigned forms. Forwards all forms to the appropriate personnel.

5. Responsible for forwarding all original documentation to VSP file room according to established procedures.

6. Responsible for all filing, copying, time sheet completion, etc. Responsible for maintenance of all quality control and logbooks.

7. Follows Sinai’s STAR Customer Service Standards. SMILES and greets customers: TALKS with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and courteous manner; ANTICIPATES customer needs, expectation, and problems; and RESPONDS pro-actively to meet customers’ needs quickly, appropriately, and efficiently.

8. Displays an understanding and awareness of and performs all duties in accordance with the Hospital’s Mission and Vision Statements.

9. Displays a commitment to the value of teamwork by building strong relationships with customers, families, co-workers and the surrounding community; and by being cooperative and collaborative in the performance of duties to promote a unified and spirited workplace.

10. Adheres to all Hospital and contract infection control and safety policies.

11. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must possess the knowledge, skill, physical ability and mental capacity to perform the typical duties and responsibilities enumerated above or implicit therein.

2. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent or certification of completion of certified clerical training program.

3. Entry level-6 months-secretarial experience or training.

4. Must be able to accurately type 35 words per minute, knowledge of standard office procedures and machines, must be computer literate and experience in word processing and spreadsheet software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $20.91 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
