Overview

Maverick Natural Resources is currently seeking an experienced IT Enterprise Architect for the IT Portfolio Management team. The IT Enterprise Architect serves as the leading technical advisor to business and IT leadership on application, data, information integration, and technology strategies that are aligned with Maverick’s corporate strategy and objectives. This role will provide support to IT management by assisting with IT enterprise planning, strategy, enterprise architecture, and governance functions. 

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain multi-year enterprise application portfolio to support current and future business capabilities. 
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in system architectures support across the enterprise’s IT disciplines.

• Partner with business and technology subject experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions. 
• Define and oversee the adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across applications, infrastructure, and information security. 
• Define the architecture and lead the selection of platforms, products, and vendors to be used for programs across the enterprise. 
• Lead programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture. 
• Evaluate and validate multiple systems architecture across the enterprise and determine interdependencies, overlaps, and or gaps. 

• Work closely with business and technical teams to take ownership of the design and development progress of technical software solutions. 
• Document all enterprise architecture design and analysis work. 
• Work in a multi-project, multi-team environment with both internal and external team members. 
• Responsible for bringing new technologies forward for potential solutions. 
• Promote and advocate technology solutions for business problems. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field 
• Minimum of 7 years of specialized experience with enterprise & systems architecture including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations, strategy planning and development 
• Strong understanding of cloud management platforms, service-oriented architecture, network architecture, data management and governance 
• TOGAF 9.x Certification and experience are a plus, but not required 

• Upstream oil & gas experience strongly preferred 
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with an ability to communicate complex information to multiple levels of the organization, including executives 
• Analytical ability and problem-solving skills 
• Must be able to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment 
• Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
