Clearance: SECRET

We need motivated candidates with communications project management, writing and editorial, and strategic communications planning experience to support a government communications contract. This position will support command communications activities, including:

• Providing support for public affairs products, including presentations, press releases, briefs, audits, communications plans, and newsletters.
• Working with senior level government communicators to develop short and long-term communications plans and strategies.
• Developing concepts for new communication initiatives to support strategic objectives of a multi-billion-dollar acquisition activity.
• Engagement with think tanks and thought leaders to keep abreast of trends and future of industry.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

• Demonstrated project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of written communications, including senior level experience in writing, editing, and proofing. Ability to proof and edit work of more junior personnel.
• Ability to translate complex technical, legal, legislative, regulatory and statistical information into plain language for a variety of audiences.
• Ability to assess operational environment and recommend creative communication solutions within a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management skills with ability to take project from concept to completion.
• Experience interacting with Senior level military and civilian personnel.
• Understanding of the Associated Press style guide.
• Understanding of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
