Service Market Logistics North America is part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO) and has approximately 1000 employees in more than 20 locations within the region.
Our job is to design, handle, and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands. The scope for Service Market Logistics (SML) includes making sure material is delivered to the production facilities, packaging is available, vehicles are distributed to the dealers, and that management of material, warehouses and distribution ensures the availability of parts everywhere in the world.

Position Description
The Transport Parts intern position will be responsible for working to secure innovative solutions for enhancing the Transport Team’s functional mailbox, developing new ways to monitor SML NA’s delivery precision to our dealer network, working directly with our major carriers to improve the SML supply chain network, and coming up with new ideas to better enhance the team’s efficiency.
The intern role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to promote the graduate’s career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study.
The intern experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group Service Market Logistics by working on projects for the Transport Parts team.
Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization.
The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Group Service Market Logistics.
