Description
The new Volvo Cars Arrowhead dealership is seeking a motivated, independent, individual that has a proven track record of being a top salesperson. We are seeking someone who wants to fast track their career to becoming a Sales Manager, and is excited to learn with a fast growing company. Car sales experience required.
The Assistant Sales Manager collectively and individually, sells cars by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, counseling, training, motivating, and mentoring of client advisors while maintaining the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.
Essential Functions and Duties
· Sales Process Management
o Ensure vehicles sales goals are attained by holding Sales Representatives accountable to Arrowhead ’s sales process and customer experience.
o Manage daily activity of the sales staff using the daily work plan in CRM to ensure sales volume and productivity goals are met.
o Ensure salespeople are engaging directly with the customer. When there isn’t enough sales coverage, engages directly with customer themselves.
o Aid team members in setting and confirming appointments.
o Ensure customer is logged in with current address, email and is opted-in via Dealer Socket.
o Walk lot everyday with sales team to ensure knowledge of vehicle pricing and excellent condition of inventory, advertising, banners, and area grounds. Keep trade in’s and shown units out of customer parking.
· Sales Staff Recruiting, Training and Development
o Train sales staff daily using meeting-in-a-box, role-play, storyboards, product demonstrations and product quizzes to ensure all are well versed in the sales process and manufacturer product knowledge.
o Develop effective sales staff by communicating expected performance standards, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching, and mentoring.
o Understand and implement the Van Tuyl 12 step selling process.
o Post calendar to the wall weekly with training schedule including 1.) Product presentations and selling evaluations, 2.) guest sheet training, 3.) prospecting and appointment creation.
· Customer Engagement
o Ensure all customers greeted promptly in a professionally and friendly manner.
o Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
o Monitor and follow up with sales staff whose “CSI” scores are below the market.
o Assist Sales staff with customers when needed, in order to ensure sale of vehicle.
o Remain aware of all customers on lot and ensure their customer buying experience is progressing as expected.
o Make 50 CTI calls and maintain a minimum if 10 Live conversations per day.
· Dealer Socket CRM
o Must be reviewed with sales staff at the beginning of shift. Also make sure that all team members are updating their notes.
o Daily Game Plan Check Out
- Used for accountability to be turned in at the end of shift.
o Daily Appointment Report
- Ensure it is printed every two hours and boards are updated
o Open Events
- Ensure a customer is put into a lost status is there is an open event with a customer where no deal will be made.
· Track ad sourcing by communicating with customers to identify what brought them to the store.
· The ASM is required to checkout each day with the GSM. In the event the GSM is not here, leave your check out with your desk manager.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
· Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
· Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.
· Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
· Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
· Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.

MINIMUM Hiring Requirements
· College degree desired
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· 18 years or older
· Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
· A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
· Clear pre-employment drug screen
