Position: Nursing Department Administrative Assistant
Status: Part-time
Function: To provide clerical and administrative support as assigned by the Registered Nurse Supervisor and Regional Director.
Know How: The position requires business/secretarial course work and three (3) years' experience as an Administrative Assistant. The position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work without direct supervision, the ability to type 70 wpm, good word processing and computer skills, good communication and writing skills, management of agency databases and knowledge of general office procedures.
Principal Activities:
1. Performs simple and complex clerical duties including word processing, typing, filing and other administrative support functions.
2. Maintain a comprehensive filing system.
3. Assists in preparing routine and special reports.
4. Assists in management of agency database.
5. Assists in maintaining data for the Regional Director and compiling reports.
6. Manages communications and correspondence for Divisional Director.
7. Provides administrative assistance/support to the Divisional Director.
