Communities in Schools is a nationwide program implemented by Volunteers of America in some Caddo Parish schools. It is a school based program that employees a full time person on the campus to address day-to-day needs of case managed students. We supply uniforms, school supplies and other items that may be lacking in the students life. We broker services such as tutoring, counseling, dental care, after school programs as well as other programs through partners and volunteers. This is a full time position.

The starting pay is $40,000. Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in the social services area and experience working in schools or with children. In addition to your compensation, you will be eligible to receive the benefits which are offered to eligible Volunteers of America North Louisiana employees. This benefit package includes, but is not limited to health, dental/vision insurance, life insurance coverage, a retirement fund and access to an Employee Assistance Program, paid vacation, sick time and holidays.
