WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in overseeing and guiding a team of psychiatric technicians to deliver exceptional patient care. You will also be responsible for implementing procedures to meet the medical needs of each patient while they are in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). You will be the point person for screening calls and questions related to medication, and you will arrange educational sessions for patients regarding their medications.
Monitoring lab work within the guidelines for specific medications will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the psychiatrist, assisting with phone consultations and dispensing prescriptions as per the doctor's orders. Another crucial aspect of this role is completing admission assessments and creating treatment plans for each patient, ensuring that their individualized needs are met throughout their stay. - Experience working in the mental health field
An RN with psychiatric certification is preferred but not required.
