Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the organization
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated patient care and efficient operations
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and quality of care
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes
- Extensive experience as a nurse, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Proficient in shift management, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
- Excellent documentation review skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to effectively manage a team of nurses and support staff
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to ensure compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
