Volt is hiring experienced Data Center Technicians in Mesa AZ.

As a Data Center Technician you will

• Install new servers and networking devices in a data center environment
• Troubleshoot failing hardware in servers (fans, motherboards, CPUs, hard drives, DIMMs, and NIC cards)
• Upgrade system firmware and software as needed
• Work closely with application teams for daily support issues, break / fix issues and scheduled maintenance
• Troubleshoot Cat6 Ethernet and Fiber Optic connections

Data Center Technician candidates typically have experience in several of these areas

• 1 year experience working with Ethernet or fiber cables
• 1 year experience troubleshooting computer hardware
• 1 year experience working with rack mounted network switches / routers and servers
• Basic-level experience working with Linux or Unix command line
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand throughout an 8-hour shift, and lift / move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as needed

Experience with the following is a plus

• Previous work in a Data Center environment with 1000 servers
• Knowledge of Cat6 and / or fiber networking standards
• Multi-meter and oscilloscope
• Networking or Linux certifications
• Hardware installation

Pay - $26.00 / hr
