Title: Staff Accountant - Real Estate Investment Firm (Full-time, Hybrid)

Committed to delivering high-quality, affordable housing, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager and VP of Finance, the Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly for assigned property portfolios.
• Conduct Security Deposit Tie Outs and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries monthly.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail and uphold confidentiality standards.
• Support collections efforts and financial reviews.
• Assist property managers and regional teams with Yardi software and other operational challenges.
• Perform additional duties and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of accounting experience, with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to process large volumes of information accurately and meet deadlines.
• Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in computer operations.

Physical Demands:

• The role involves extended periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Specific visual capabilities required include close vision, ability to work extended periods on screens.
