Responsibility
Summary :
Monitoring and interpreting Quality Measures.
Effectively coordinates reimbursement activities for the facility including : makes reimbursement decisions, completes denial protocol, and maintains records.
Acts as a liaison between Nursing, Therapy, and Resident Accounts.
Provides documentation oversight and assuring compliance including : reimbursement guidelines requirements, identifying documentation needs and reviews with the Nurse Manager / DON, and provides in servicing as appropriate.
Submission of MDS census data collection for Medicaid reimbursement.
Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement. Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process.
MDS, and care planning experience.

Education :
Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.

The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed by adult and geriatric patient group.
