Virtual School-Based Social Worker Full Time in Michigan

We are currently seeking an empathetic and driven School-Based Social Worker to join our network on a full-time basis under an independent contract arrangement. As a Virtual School-Based Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential social and emotional support to students in our district. You will work remotely to assist students, families, and educators in addressing a wide range of social and emotional challenges that may impact a student's ability to succeed academically. Your role will be pivotal in promoting a positive school environment and fostering student well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual assessments and screenings to identify students in need of social and emotional support.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for students.
• Provide counseling and support to students dealing with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
• Offer resources and referrals to external agencies and organizations as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
• Participate in virtual meetings and professional development opportunities.
K-12 caseload

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program preferred, but will accept BSW.
• PEL, ISBE approved school Social Worker
• 310 Required
• Experience working with IEPs
• Strong communication and virtual communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
Knowledge of Michigans educational and social service systems is a plus.
