VNS Federal Services is Hiring an Integration Manager Near Hanford, WA

Overview

Responsibilities

· The Integration Manager position is a critical role within the Waste Operations at the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) and Integrated Disposal Facility (IDF) on the Hanford Reservation outside of Richland, WA. This position is a direct report to the Project Manager. This position is vital to facilitating and integrating programs and processes that are in line with the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Integrator who creates cohesion among their peers by listening to concerns and finding common ground to build a foundation of trust, thereby inspiring engagement in a common vision.

Goalkeeper who triages problems to reduce distractions to the leadership team, along with bringing pertinent issues to the leadership team’s attention in an organized, succinct manner.

Operator who demands structure, establishes processes, and creates efficiencies within the organization adhering to timelines, budgets, and mission objectives. Adept at converting abstract ideas into smooth operations.

Implementor who translates a strategic vision into action always striving for innovation and encouraging employees to try what’s never been done before. An effective implementor holds teams accountable and moves change forward.

Advisor who acts as a strategic thought partner, confidante, and sounding board.

● Additional focus areas:

o Collaborating with team members to determine and prioritize business strategies.

o Providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork.

o Manage and develop administrative and technical work documents.

o Determining key performance indicators and how to measure team performance.

o Solve management, technical or administrative issues that arise to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.

o Provide leadership within the organization to strategically integrate programs and processes.

o Overseeing strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation.

o Assessing and identifying risk/vulnerabilities and providing recommendations to address them.

o Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives.

o Identifying and providing recommendations on improvements across the organization.

o Planning, coordinating and leading meetings and workshops.

o Supervise support staff.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Field work requires the proper use of PPE and adherence to posted signage.

Physical Demands

The duties of this job require the employee to regularly talk and hear in a noise environment that is normally quiet to moderate.

Light Work Category – Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. The employee exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in science or business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years related experience.

Experience & Requirements:

● Strong knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Operations and Maintenance.

● Organizational continuous improvement experience (e.g., Lean/6-Sigma).

● Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project/construction management concepts to manage, schedule, scope, risk, deliverables, and related metrics.

● Experience in technical writing of program and field procedures.

● Experience in implementing processes for integration to ensure compliance and standardization across the project.
