Hospice LPN, per diem, prior Hospice training & experience required

Position Summary: Provides patient care which will include supportive care, physical care, pain management care, preventative care and personal care to maximize the comfort and health of terminally ill patients and their families. Experience Preferred
• Hospice experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years general med/surg nursing with at least 1 year in an acute setting preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to respond appropriately to the needs of patients and families in varied environments.
• Skilled in nursing practice as a LPN and able to cope with family’s emotional stress, relates well with patients and families and follows instructions easily and effectively.
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns of terminally ill patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other staff members and volunteers in a team-work setting.
