VN Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Transportation Planner to join our growing Planning Team. Responsibilities will include providing planning services for CTDOT and local planning agencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in producing diverse planning studies and reports, conducting grant research, composing proposals, and facilitating public involvement. Examples of types of projects include:
· Regional Transportation Safety Plans
· Congestion Management Plans
· Freight Studies
· Mobility Management Plans
Skills Required:
· Technical writing skills
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have a minimum of four years of experience. Qualified candidates should be knowledgeable of Federal, State and Local standards.
