VN Engineers, Inc. is Hiring a Construction Inspector Near West Hartford, CT

VN Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector for the sewer rehabilitation and or repair of sewer mains and service laterals in the West Hartford Sewer shed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
  • Contract administration
  • Report daily progress and prepare daily work reports
  • Track and document quality and quantities of work performed
  • Report and document construction problems and challenges in the field
  • Other oversight responsibilities as assigned

Candidates must have at least two years of related experience (MDC experience preferred), along with a NICET II certification or Bachelor s degree in Engineering. Candidates must be reliable and have strong written and oral communication skills. Candidate must also be able to work nights and weekends when required.
