Position Summary:


Vizgen is seeking a Human Resources Representative to join our amazing, passionate, fun, and kind team. The ideal candidate will work with senior management to assess, hire, and retain the best talent possible. This successful candidate will also handle various Human Resource activities, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, coordination of training activities, workers’ compensation, annual review cycle, and leave of absences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary liaison for all candidates through the entire interview process to ensure a smooth candidate experience
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources regarding organization partnerships
  • Schedule interviews - work directly with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruitment status.
  • Update candidate records and job postings in applicant tracking system.
  • Facilitate the background check and drug screen process for candidates.
  • Facilitate new hire on-boarding paperwork and orientation.
  • Process new hire paperwork.
  • Collect/process Form I-9 in-person or virtually
  • Potential to conduct candidate phone screens.
  • Process candidate expense reports
  • Help maintain and update all recruiting-related marketing materials
  • Maintain job documentation, job description, job evaluation systems, and confidential personnel files
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources regarding organization partnerships
  • Maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems
  • Support benefits administration, annual performance review cycle, training and development, leave administration, workers’ compensation and safety administration, compliance and other key HR functions as necessary.
  • Provide administrative, tactical, and programmatic coordination of numerous initiatives to drive and sustain a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with strong academic credentials highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HR-related work experience is ideal.  
  • Some experience in the Biotech space is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, including an ability to anticipate issues or concerns
  • Ability to work well under pressure with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) – Experience with TriNet (PEO platform) is a plus.
  • Ability to work on various tasks simultaneously and able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently.
  • Exceptional customer service and detail-oriented.
